What are the Differences?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy involves drawing a small amount of the patient's blood, processing it to extract the platelet-rich plasma, and then injecting it into the scalp. The growth factors in the PRP/PRF can stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth.

Exosome therapy is a newer type of treatment that involves using exosomes, which are tiny extracellular vesicles that contain growth factors and signaling molecules. These exosomes are derived from stem cells and are believed to have regenerative properties that can stimulate hair growth and improve hair density.

One key difference between PRP and exosome therapy is the source of the growth factors. PRP uses the patient's own blood to provide growth factors, while exosome therapy uses exosomes derived from stem cells. Exosome therapy is also considered to be a more potent and concentrated form of treatment compared to PRP.

Both treatments have shown promising results in promoting hair growth and improving hair density, but the choice between PRP and exosome therapy will depend on factors such as the patient's individual needs, health and preferences.

Results

These natural treatments pose minimal risk of adverse reactions. Any discomfort, swelling, or redness in the treated area is short-lived and shouldn't disrupt daily activities. Avoiding exercise for a few days is advisable to aid healing, but there's virtually no downtime. Visible improvements in hair texture and reduced shedding can be noticed within two weeks after the initial session, with significant hair regrowth and thickness becoming measurable around 3-6 months into the treatment.
